Last October we ran a charity weekend to celebrate our 3-year anniversary, in which we raised £346.97 for Cancer Research UK and gave away a staggering 1 BILLION GP as well as concept art and membership passes kindly donated to us by Jagex. Thank you for your generosity over the event! This time around, we'd like to support the Well of Goodwill over GameBlast16 this time however, you'll be able to donate with ingame wealth.


GameBlast16 - What is it?

GameBlast is a yearly event held by SpecialEffect and supported by Jagex. The sponsorship raised through GameBlast16 can help us change the lives of many more people like Ben by bringing the fun and inclusivity of gaming back into their lives. If you’re passionate about games, GameBlast16 is the perfect way have fun AND raise money to level the playing field for people with disabilities.

Over the weekend, RuneScape will hold a Double XP Weekend from Friday 26th February 12:00 until Monday 29th February 12:00 - as well as hosting a 24hour livestream on their Twitch channel. You'll also be able to donate your ingame wealth to support the cause, dropping it into the Well of Goodwill. By entering money into the Well, you'll also gain access to exclusive titles, see below:

• “The Wishful”     – 1 coin
  
• “The Generous”  – 10,000,000 coins or 1 bond
  
• “The Millionaire”  – 100,000,000 coins or 10 bonds
  
• “The Charitable”  – 1,000,000,000 coins
  
• “The Billionaire”   – 5,000,000,000 coins
  

You'll also be able to purchase the limited edition GameBlast 2016 cape, amulet and balloon from Solomon's Store to support the fundraising.



How can you get involved?


Starting from Monday 15th February, we'll be holding a competition as to who can donate the most ingame wealth to this event. This could be any amount of money that you've made over the competition OR MORE if you're feeling that bit more generous! In order to donate, YOU MUST earn wealth from flipping, or, joining some of our bossing events that will be held on the run up to the GameBlast weekend (information below).

• First Place: Official RuneScape Concept Art, 2 bonds
  
• Second Place: 1 bond
  
• Third Place: 5m GP
  

Two runners up will receive a random item from our list of pricechecked items (below the value of third place).


The best way to enter the competition and ensure that you can potentially win one of the above prizes is to create and actively update a flipping log in this section of the forums: Goals & Achievements and title it "GameBlast16 Competition Log" and place your RuneScape username in the title. We'll be actively checking this section AND creating some logs of our own!
